Sadhvi Velasquez

Massage Therapist

I am a Healer, Educator, Yogini, Master Drummer and Wise Woman. My roots are in Guatemala and Belize.

My passion and mission in life is to serve. The healing arts is the vehicle through which I passionately serve. Through the healing arts, I bring a depth of knowledge, wisdom and stillness to share with my clients. I am fully present during our sessions and fully committed to supporting your goals. My modalities are vast and my spirituality spans many cultures. I will support you in restoring balance mentally, physically and spiritually.

I also share my gifts and medicine through Women’s Retreats. These retreats provide a safe and sacred vessel to remember who you are, reconnect with your divine essence, get clarity about your purpose, and illuminate your strengths.

My journey in the healing arts began in 1986. I became a spiritual seeker. My sojourn began with studying metaphysical Christianity. I resonated deeply with these teachings and felt guided to become a Unity Minister. Unity belief system is metaphysical Christianity.

My next teachers were two lovely souls that shared generously their knowledge with me. One was a Chiropractor and the other a D.O. I learned about juicing, sprouting and eating healthy, Aikido and Thai Massage.

I met an amazing Meditation world teacher from India. She inspired great passion inside me for learning more about classical Indian culture which includes Yoga and Meditation. I served in many areas of this organization which helped to cultivate my leadership skills. I learned to play many of the classical East Indian instruments. This skill has supported me in playing with a local Kirtan group. I have served as coordinator of the philanthropic arm of this organization while living in Atlanta, Georgia. Playing the drums with abandonment, especially brings me great joy.

In 1991, I became interested in Reiki and became a practitioner and in 1997 became a Reiki/Master teacher and started teaching Reiki.

I started to work as a post-partum Doula. I did this for ten years. This amazing experience taught me non-verbal communication and deep listening skills. I called them my little Angels (the newborns). From this connection I became close with A prominent OB/GYN in Atlanta. To this day, I continue to be a part of her family's lives. This is an honorable and precious gift.

Having a deep desire to connect with my Mayan Indian roots I searched for a teacher. I have had teachers from the following tribes:- Cherokee, Apache, Lumbee, Arapaho. I incorporate native ceremonies in my 2hr Native American Ceremonial Healing session which include the drums, songs and smudging.

In 2000, I moved from Atlanta to Asheville. I went to a local massage school to become a licensed Massage/Bodyworker. I have specialty training and certification in:- Craniosacral, Reflexology, Swedish, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue and Hot Stones. As an educator, I teach Reiki and Hot Stones.

In 2013, I joined Dr. Mary at Acu-Na Wellness Center. I was working in the field but many establishments do not support self expression. Dr. Mary provided a sacred space for me to express my authentic self and to further enhance my clinical and diagnostic skills. Dr. Mary's guidance helped me incorporate both my spiritual and technical skills into an advanced integrative therapeutic massage.

It is my personal commitment to you to give you the best integrative massage you have ever had!
